Karen’s micaceous pottery is made of clay that has been hand dug in the mountains of northern New Mexico. Each pot is hand coiled, sanded with stones and then pit fired to create a usable work of art.
Pieces are one of a kind and vary due to the unique nature of the mica clay and the smoke patterns created during firing. A functional piece of artwork that is strongly rooted in the soul and spirit of New Mexico. Styles range from traditional to contemporary.
